Founded in 2024 by Paula Howell, Milestones of Love Society believes that every mother deserves a community that uplifts her, no matter her current season in life.

We understand that single motherhood is not just a personal journey—it is a complex societal challenge. In British Columbia, 45.5% of children in lone-parent households live in poverty, with the majority of these families being led by single mothers.*
Our mission is to create lasting change by building a strong foundation of community, mentorship, counseling, and resources. With the support of our volunteers, mentors, and dedicated community members, we aim to empower single mothers to achieve significant improvements in their mental health, financial stability, and overall well-being.
Through our Informed Independence™ model, we address the unique challenges faced by single mothers, many of whom navigate this path due to systemic barriers and past hardships. Our approach focuses on breaking societal cycles through compassion, resilience, and community-driven solutions that foster authentic healing and lasting empowerment.

The Vision
Our History
Milestones of Love Society™. was founded by Paula Howell in December 2024 with a mission rooted in empowerment, resilience, and community. As a mother navigating the realities of single parenthood, Paula experienced firsthand the challenges of balancing personal, professional, and financial responsibilities—while also navigating the judicial system. Through this journey, she realized that knowledge, support, and connection were not just valuable but essential for thriving.
The divide between merely surviving and truly thriving as a single mother can feel impossibly thin. Understanding this, Paula was determined to create something new—something that would provide solo moms with the tools, resources, and mentorship needed to break cycles, reclaim their independence, and build a legacy for themselves and their children.
At Milestones of Love Society™., we are more than an organization; we are a movement. We believe in the power of community-driven empowerment, ensuring that no mother walks this path alone. Through advocacy, counselling, education, and direct support, we help single mothers navigate their own journeys with confidence and hope—because every milestone, big or small, is a testament to strength and love.
